I like to capture the bride and groom on the way out of the church, during the march in they are usually very nervous but on the way out the are much more relaxed and are starting to enjoy their big day. I was just a guest during this wedding but couldn't help myself when I saw this photo coming to life and stepped out in the middle of the isle to get it.
The Italians have a certain way of never leave anything out of style, whether it’s their own clothing, accessories, art, decoration, cars and so on. So it doesn’t surprise me the least to find a lamp post like this on one of the hills overlooking Florence.
Watching the latest season of High Stakes Poker made me remember that I have a photo of poker pro Dario Minieri taken during the WSOP 2008 lying around.
The recent lack of updates (and temporary halt of the “in progress” project) is due to a simple reason, we got our long awaited Dobermann puppy on April 11th and he’s been calling for some (or rather much) attention since then. This means that most of my technical projects (and The Cheap Gourmand) are somewhat on hold for a while.
However, Dante (technically speaking Dobvoyage Fangs) and a recent trip to Tuscany have revived my interest for photography (and made me realize how lazy I’ve been lately) so I might just start to post some more photos instead.
Jessica on the way back from a day in the downhill slopes. The low sun coupled with all the white snow can give extremely soft light, the setting suns also provides some warmth to the otherwise cold colors.
Henrik drinking some beer while taking a break from the sauna. The high amount of blue content in the light (reflected light from the sky due to the low sun) means that most cameras can have a hard time really nailing the white balance.
Helena Andersson doing some pushups on the beach during a photoshoot for a fitness competition. As usual I let my subjects do what feels natural to them (working out in this case) to get my best images.
Some friends decided to play some post-apocalyptic World War III dress-up and I happened to be nearby with my camera which resulted in some cool photos. When this photo was taken it was practically pitch black, it was too dark for the autofocus to lock on anything and to clearly see through the viewfinder, but the ISO capability of the 5D mark II and the 1.4 aperture provides unparalleled creative freedom for photographers like me.
